2E2AE2 Advanced Digital Communications Electronics and Applied Physics S8
Cours : 9 h TD : 0 h TP : 15 h Projet : 0 h Total : 24 h
Responsable : Miloud Frikel
Pré-requis
Digital Transmission, Digital Signal Processing.
Objectifs de l'enseignement
The objective of this course is to introduce the concepts of modern digital communications, which were the starting point of the important increases in transmission rates and in digital transmissions' quality (mobile systems, ADSL, DVB, TNT, etc ...).The course is organized around three axes : first of all we start by processing the signals in baseband ( eye pattern, spectral analysis, filter synthesis, symbol error rate (SER), Nyquist criteria, etc..). Then we study digital modulations with very high rate, high spectral efficiency and high-level constellations. For wireless communications, we address the multipath channels' modelisation, and particularly, the frequency selective channels. Finally, we will approach the main advances of these last years in developing digital communication systems, especially : multi-carrier modulation (MCM) such as the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM), multiple access (CDMA), and the multi-carriers CDMA (MC-CDMA).
